The Information Day "Prospects for the participation of Ukrainian institutions in the EU Horizon 2020 program and other EU initiatives » was held on October 6, 2017 together with the international scientific-practical conference "Forum of Miners-2017". The conference was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine under the auspices of the National Contact Point "Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy" of the EU Program Horizon 2020.
The peculiarity of this "Information Day" was the consideration of a possibility for the participation of Ukrainian institutions in scientific and educational programs funded by foreign structures through the prism of international cooperation projects.
The Head of the National Contact Point " Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy " Roman Dychkovskyi and Head of the Department of International Academic Mobility Ksienia Tiukhmieniova presented their experience in the implementation of three NMU projects within Horizons 2020 during the conference. These projects are "VirtualMine: as a modeling tool for Wider Society Learning (VirtualMine)”; Dubrovnik International ESEE Mining school (DIM ESEE); Hydrogen-based underground coal gasification for Europe (HUGE). "
Also, Оlena Borysovska, the assistant professor of Department of Ecology shared the successful experience of implementing the project of academic mobility, which involves the exchange of young scholars and students, and made a presentation:"Practical experience of NMU in the implementation of international projects within ERASMUS +, KA1 (Mobility of Youth) programs on the example of a project ERASMUS + KA1 MOSAIC implementation.
Information on the received funding for the project: "RIS EIT Raw Materials Project RAISESEE: Raw Materials Students Internships in East South East Europe" was presented by the manager of the International Educational Projects Department Kateryna Zhabchyk. This project is being implemented within the so-called RIS initiatives of the Horizon 2020 program.
Special attention was paid to the report of Dmytro Rudakov, the Head of the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology. He presented a report on the successful implementation of the project funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Mining University and the German Bureau for Environmental Safety. His report on the topic: "The Experience of Collaboration with the Partners from Germany in the Advisory Assistance Program" caused a keen interest in the participants of the conference. National Mining University is a Grand Holder and Coordinator in this project.
